With their newly built cabins, large field space, extensive ropes course, and large swimming pool, this is a great lodge based site for your next outdoor education program.  Hiking trails, indoor space, and off-site options all add to the allure of this location.

SITE OVERVIEW

Hiking the trails behind camp, exploring the watershed with stream surveys, and learning about the local geology of the area are just a few of the many activities offered at URJ Camp Newman.  If you are looking for a team building experience, this site offers and array of ropes course opportunities including an Alpine Tower, climbing wall, zip line, and traditional high challenge elements.  Low ropes course can also be added to your program.

EDUCATIONAL OVERVIEW

Teachers can choose from an array of educational topics at this location.  Some of these may include natural history, human history, flora and fauna of the area, and geology.  Evening programs can include sensory awareness, night hikes, astronomy, and a final evening campfire.
